Criticism: Brick by Brick

Learn to Accept Constructive Criticism my friend, and ignore petty criticism.  You can't control what others say about you or about your work, but you can control how you respond to it.  It can open you to new perspectives, and in some cases, it can help you to be a better you.  You will learn to practice forgiveness, explore unresolved issues, foster problem-solving skills, and convince you to Look Inside Yourself.

Challenge your people pleasing tendencies and squelch your need to be right all the time.  Nothing close an open mind like an ego.  So when criticism comes your way, be humble, be kind, listen even when you’re interacting with others in the most difficult of situations.  Then you learn from it.

Legendary broadcaster David Brinkley did.  He once said…

A successful person is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks that others throw at him or her.

Imperfection Is Part Of Being Human.  Let us admit our weaknesses.  Let us work on them.  Don't let them get you down.  You'll find far more happiness, far more peace, far more enjoyment, and far more success, when you believe that.

I hope this is a great week for you.
