Who You Want To Be?

We all have so many to-do lists.  Oh my goodness.  You and I live by our to-do list, and we're always looking for ways to manage a list that gets longer with each passing day.

So I say stop already.  Instead of focusing on what we want to do, Focus On Who We Want To Be.  Ask yourself, “Do you want to be more patient?  Do you want to be more generous?  Do you want to be more learned, more reasoned, more kind?”  Examine what you believe.  That is your to-be list, not your to-do list, but your to-be list.  It's what you believe in your heart, your mind, your soul.  That is what will help you improve your life.

In our lives, we work hard, all of us work hard, but we also have to work smart.  When you see everything you have to do, sift it through your to-be list.  The ones that fit your to-be list, go ahead and do them.  The ones that don't, discard them and move on.  That's your stop doing list.  When you construct your life this way, you will discover one of your most valuable assets.  That's wisdom.  That will help make your life more joyful, and usher in a byproduct equally as important.  That's a life of success and significance.  That is an education that will serve you well forever.

To-do lists will always be here.  Do this, write this, attend that meeting, but to-be list encourages to become all that God intended for us to become.  They focus us on our potential, and we feel better when we are more, when we do more, when we give more, and when we serve more.  Have a great week.
