Become More Valuable

When I talk to sales individual’s, I tell them upfront, no one wants to buy your product.  People are shocked when I say that, but then I know I have their attention.  I need their attention, especially with what I say next.  What People Want is the Product of Your Product.  It’s the enjoyment, the reward, the safety, the peace of mind.

Let's say you're in college, you didn't come to school to get a diploma, you came to college to acquire an education, to secure a life that is filled with success, and framed with significance.

Or say you need new clothing.  You don't buy clothing just for the sake of owning clothing.  If that was the case you would walk around in pajamas all day.  No, you buy clothing to feel comfortable and confident, as well as to look sharp, handsome, professional.  It's all about the feeling, the emotion, the tangible things, that seep into your heart, your soul, your mind.  That's what I mean when I say the product of the product.

So ask yourself, what is the product of my product?  Your answer should focus on something other than yourself.  Be Helpful and Be Humble.  Remember, if you help enough people to get what they want out of life, they will help you too to get what you want out of your life.  And if you do that, you'll realize a vital component of any life.
