Initiate, Don't Imitate!

The world needs you to be a leader.  It will develop your skills of responsibility, your skills of accountability, and your decision making.  And it channels your passion and intelligence to something bigger than yourself.  Wherever you are, at work or in your community, wherever you live, you will discover what you may not know you ever had, let alone used, The Entrepreneurial Side Of You.  The more you use it the easier it will become.

So exercise your entrepreneurial muscle in all things large and small that moves you.  Serve on a local board.  Invest your time in coaching a team.  Volunteer at a local shelter.  Serve at your house of worship.  Help your company or your college.  Raise money for a nonprofit.  Think of what you can do.  Seth Golden, the famous writer, once said…

The easiest thing is to react.  The second easiest thing is to respond.  But the hardest thing is to initiate.

So Be An Initiator.  When you do, you learn how to become flexible, nimble, and unafraid of taking appropriate risk.  The world is ready for you my friend.  Start now.  Make it count that you occupy space on this earth.  And make this week your best one yet.
