The Gift Of Freedom

Remember each and every day, the valor of solders, sailers, and marines, has provided us all, safety and security.  And today we can all be something incredibly amazing with Faith and Courage, with a clear vision, and with consistent execution.  This is America!

Whenever I speak, I always make sure I have an American flag with me on stage.  I remember what this county did for me and I believe in the values and fundamentals that built this nation in the first place.  Those timeless lessons should guide us all.  Oh yes, they should.  

Legendary broadcaster Tom Brokaw believes that as well.  In a recent speech, he talked about how in our nation, in our county, yours and mine, we all are born with certain unalienable rights, that are available to every one of us.  He saw that, as I quote…

A glorious promise, our county’s first big idea!

As Americans, we all are given the gift of freedom.  Remember that, The Gift of Freedom.  Thank a veteran this week.  Respect the flag.  Stand up straight with your hand over your heart when you hear our national anthem.  And more importantly, know what those words mean.  Know what the stars and stripes represent: You!
