Give

People talk about giving back all the time.  You've heard that.  Someone says, I want to give back to my church.  I want to give back to my alma mater, my community, my nation, whatever.  But listen, giving back is no big deal.  It implies you owe someone something.  It's like owing money to a bank.

Don't live that way.  Just give, don't give back.  Give.  Give because you want to, not because you need too.  Give because you love.  Give because you want to share your talent and time to help make someone's life better.

Just Give!  When you do, you'll be like the Scottish theologian, William Barclay, who once said…

Always give without remembering, always receive without forgetting.
